Okay, this made me spit out my morning coffee in horror…

Pa. state prison populations growing old – Pittsburgh Tribune-Review

If a judge sends Marilyn Devine to prison, the 76-year-old Baldwin bank robber won’t be the only grandmother doing time.

And with 5,500 inmates ages 50 to 64 — baby boomers behind bars — the
state’s prisons are set to grow even grayer in the next decade.

  1. Thanks for sharing the article Jo. I read it with much interest. Just like everything else involving us boomers–the graying prison population and their needs will have to be addressed.

There was a case here in NC not too long ago where a middle aged female, in prison for murdering her husbands, needed to have heart surgery and some of the sentiments expressed were to just let her go without it since she was in prison for murder.

Stop by and visit my website sometime.

    Peace & Blessings,
