We need more people like Mr. Pritts in this world. Kudos to you, sir!
Collector aims to restore Chestnut tree – Pittsburgh Tribune-Review:
According to the source at this website http://www.apsnet.org/online/feature/chestnut/ , help was instituted into available populations as far back as 1965, with the institution of a “hypovirulent” blight fungus strain into existing populations in the Northeast. Apparently, a modicum of success in developing blight-resistant offspring was attained, and populations are starting to rebound. The efforts of Mr. Pritts and people like him are of invaluable contribution to the success of our nation’s flora. I join you in his praise.
