The Rocking Chair Speaks October 24, 2006

Filed under: Poetry — jojanoski @ 9:03 am

The following is a Septet I did for a workshop, giving human quality to an inanimate object.

The Rocking Chair Speaks

I’m magic
Rocking babe to sleep
Spinning infant wonder dreams
White cloud puffs wrapped in rainbow ribbons
Rock-a-bye pink baby smile
For my sweet rhythmic
lullaby.

  2. A wondeful job on this assignment. This poem would be great in a baby book.
