Rainy Day Blues September 12, 2006

A poetry free write on a rainy day:

Rainy Day Blues

Rainy days sing sad songs
amidst the foggy drops.
Eerie chants sewn together with
swirling black threads
knotted in bleak waters.
Songs dressed in black shoes
with powerful buckles
forged in gray drama flames.
Beware ghosts riding bareback
on black threaded nuances
wearing strong dark shoes and
daring one to converse in somber tones
about the meaning of things…

  1. He is South-East Arkansas we could roon some rainy day. LOL! I know you are comparing it to real life. I have faced some dark days in the last five years. It’s possible I may face some more. Where I work they are fixing to cut down the work force.
