Leftover Mall Musings June 10, 2006

Going over my notes, made while booth-sitting at a recent mall show–I think maybe it was good the show ended and I got out of there. ;)

Leftover Mall Musings
SCISSORS

Gleaming
Curves jutting straight
Itching to cut, slice, chop
Whatever, razor edge anxious
To pierce.

COFFEE

Coffee
Liquid best friend
Kissing porcelain walls
Before reaching my pensive lips
At last.

MALL PEOPLE

Run, pause, look, go fast head east or west.
Hopefully fulfilling promises
Of presents for children and others.

Fast, go! Time runs on feet of its own.
Stealthily declaring speediness
To outrun your wishes of success.

Sweat on brow, will you beat race with time?
Breathlessly galloping insanely
Bills waving, Coins tossing, gifts procured.

THE BUG

Stark suit bronze steel horns reach out to kill
Ferocious, ruthlessly destroying
No mercy, by instinct, in nature.

THE BUG MADE BEAUTIFUL

Bronze gold suit glows with gem flames in dance
Glimmering pirouette sensation
with movements smooth flowing yet deadly.
