Sitting in our booth at a mall art show this weekend [yawn] I watched a pink balloon skid along the floor:

Pink balloon
Set free to bounce
of all places,
on glassy waxed floor.
Lonely, you spy
pink-reflected you
to embrace,
gliding with yourself
cheek to cheek
reeling on marble sea
moving grace, dancing
on indistinct waxy clouds.
Traveling in circles
of pink balloon ennui,
inspired by flightlessness.
