Leaves on the Run
In unison
on weathered vines,
leaves, like children marching,
heads turned to sun,
vibrant green smiles
in autumn’s golden sea.
Erect, lively
like shimmering
breezes tossed by whirlwind
storms of bleak change
in portentous
August declarations.

Soft light sun warms fawns at play in the morn.
Watchfully, lovingly, carefully
Doe mother, nose nudging, gives guidance.
Leads her fawns to fruit on earth’s green floor.
Hungrily, playfully, happily
They enjoy a bounty of apples.
Said fruit is mine I share with sheer joy,
Giddily, blissfully, thoroughly.
Such visits speak warmly and soulful.

Colors blush.
Breathless pink rushing
past bashful blue to morning.
Dangling in space, waiting for the sun
to warm their pure desires
for simple beauty
just one day.

Sunny
Inclinations
Lilies ethereal
My heart yearns to follow their gaze
for now.

INSPIRED
Black, White
Monotonous
Life drags its gray-toned cape
Scratching rocky ground, to nowhere
And back.
Sunburst
Lights blazing trail
Rainbow colors brimming
Splashing red orange happiness
Afar.

Taking a walk, the crisp air, spring greens, soft morning light, and the equally fresh perspective of a new day inspired me to equate nature's beauty with soulful inspiration. What we see isn't about what our eyes reveal, but rather what our soul advises…
MORNING WALK
In sparks
Pointillistic
Urgency in whispers
Radiance applied in broad strokes
Of truth.
